Dr. Barbara Held (1954)

Is PhD in Mass Communication Science and M.A. in Hispanic and Latin American Studies.

Actually she is Desk Officer at the German Government’s Coordination and Advisory Board for IT in the Administration (KBSt) in the Federal Ministry of the Interior.

Responsible for defining and promoting the Open Source Software-Strategy for the Federal Administration and for the definition and coordination of the administration’s XML infrastructure for data exchange.

Member of the SAGA Team, defining standards and architectures for eGovernment applications.
